TYFA designates dark-colored jerseys for hosting teams. Visiting teams must wear white or an alternate color jersey that provides a clear contrast to the home team’s jersey. The visiting team’s jersey cannot clash with the home team’s jersey and must have a discernible difference to avoid confusion on the field.
Non-Compliance Penalty:
Grace Period: Teams will have a 30-minute grace period to resolve any jersey compliance issues before penalties are applied.
First Offense: If the issue is not addressed within the grace period, the game will proceed, but the team will be issued a Level II ($200) fine per occurrence. For example, if one team arrives with the wrong jersey, they will be fined $200. If multiple teams from an organization are in violation, the fine will be assessed for each team, which could result in a fine of up to $800 for the organization.
Subsequent Offenses: If a team has a subsequent offense and arrives at the game violating the policy, the game will be declared a forfeit.
Failure to Notify: If a team fails to notify the league of their inability to provide an alternate jersey, they will forfeit all games until the issue is resolved.
